About Emily
A few things about me: I graduated from Hope College in 2016 with degrees in Business Management and Religious Studies. I went on to become a Bridal Consultant at Spring Sweet, where I furthered my love for all things floral & bridal. I later worked in facilities & planning at Steelcase in Grand Rapids, where I fell in love with space & event design. I adore making new recipes with my husband, curating our home, and personally believe every day should include dessert. I am passionate about bringing people together, curating beautiful spaces, and helping couples' visions become a reality.
Origin of
"The Connolly House"
When I began this process of starting my own event planning business, I was asked by a good friend why I wanted to participate in the wedding industry. After processing her question, I realized my real "why": I want to help create weddings & atmospheres where people feel celebrated, cherished, and at home. This vision of both beauty & comfortability is why I named my business Connolly House Events, after the legacy my sweet mother (pictured here on our wedding day) built in our home on Connolly Drive.
